Things the 4 YO says

I may need to give the 4 yo her own featured spot here on the blog.

Seated at the computer, my back to the world, 4 yo came up from the basement and said

momma, you gotta help me with the bodies.

Dear Lord, please let her mean the Barbie bodies and not those other ones in the basement.

Well at least she asked for help.

And not for the ones in the basement... sheesh.

Am I just sick, or is anyone else just sitting there giggling right now?

BTW, Jess, come on over to my bloggy for a little award presentation....

I think she's subconsciously asking you to throw them away. ;)

Aw, I remember the naked Barbie with ratty hair phase of parenting. It accompanied tutus and lipstick all over the face (that I don't wear, so where did that come from?). Now it's skinny jeans and, "I hate you." Aw, the sweet memories.

Don't worry about the other bodies. I have bricked them in nicely, with two scoops of lime!

What's wrong with you people? Haven't any of you heard of a woodchipper?

Ha. I love these stories about your lil' ones.

As for the bodies... That's one of those things where context is everything. For instance - it's cute when Santa asks you to come sit on his lap but not so cute when your priest asks you to.

I hate it when the bodies start to pile up.

Spirula, of course, how foolish of me!!

Wow. I think I like that 4-year old of yours.

Awww, I was just looking at the discarded twisted mass of Barbies and Kens in the attic just this morning.

Your cheese nips crack me up.

Now that's a familiar tableau. They all look so nice and clean!

Don't know about the bodies in the basement, but it sounds like Dr. Z has you covered.
