Who is the fringe?

Despite discontent with Congress this year, the public rates congressional Republicans (29 percent approve) lower than congressional Democrats (38 percent approve). When the parties are pitted directly against each other, the public broadly favors Democrats on Iraq, health care, the federal budget and the economy. Only on the issue of terrorism are Republicans at parity with Democrats

So the general public is finally starting to realize that the Reublicans are the terrorists, not the Democrats.

The fringe? Why survivalist gun nuts and vegans who only eat fruits and legumes!

Though both groups may favor universal healthcare . . .

And yet the corporate media still talks about the "far left" in terms that describe most Americans. By definition, would the extreme mean that most people aren't there?

but still people will continue to elect assholes like Peter King and Marcia Blackburn despite the polling disdain for the GOP

sometimes i really believe that what people tell pollsters and what they really think are completely different -- forget believe i KNOW they do....

if things were really sliding downhill for repubs they would get on the anti war bandwagon -- but they dont....knowling full well a good majority will get reelected despite the stance on the war...even if it is wide
