That was the start of a post about the debate. Look, I even misspelled disappointed! Oh, wine, why did you forsake me?
I really was disappointed in Obama at last nights debate. Public opinion, thankfully doesn't seem to be agreeing with me this morning. Apparently most think this one is a win for Obama.
It was so-so, really. McCain had probably the best night of his campaign, made even better by the contrast with his batshit-craziness and idiocy the past few weeks. But Obama played it a little too cool, I think, and bent over backwards to come off as reasonable and centrist...too much so. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either.
I did not think he won, either. I wish he had quit saying that Mad Dog was right. He just kept agreeing with him about all sorts of stuff.
I mean, why should I vote for A when A says that B is right? Why not just vote for B and get it done with. This is why I did not like him in the primaries.
I admired O's calm during the drama of McCain's "you don't say that out loud!" drama-queen moments, but you're right. He needed to come after McCain's outright lies.
I am going to try to be positive like our new President-Elect Obama. But I have this whole box full o' snark and I'm afraid I'm going to have to use it. Sorry, President O. In your second administration I'll play nice, 'kay?

What did you expect?

I thought Obama did well. He needs to use more unicorns and rainbows, though.
