Something seems familiar...

Where have I seen this lady before?

Here?

Kinda.

Here?

Oh, crap.

The Huffington Post is there far before me pointing out the similarity between Cindy and Vicki. Just Weird.

For the record, I agree with smarter bloggers that this is not a story about an affair or sex. It is a story about how 1/5 of the Keating Five gang is still actively corrupt. Dr. Zaius is all over that.

You and Mc Thusela?

Say it ain't so, Joe, say it ain't so.

White Collar crime is a prerequisite for Wingnut candidates isn't it?

I was also grossed out by the similarity between Cindy and this new not-Cindy. Eeewwww. But I don't think you look anything like either of those hags. You're hawt!

Wow, just think, if McCain was a Mormon you could become Spirit Wife #3.

Soooo creepy.

Congratulations to you, Jess as the future Mrs. Maverick.

Was it hard to be a bartender and an operator at the same time? And in a Ford Maverick, no less...

Yes - I agree that you are much too fine looking to be lumped in with the va-jay-jays that ate McCain. (eew did I write that? yes i did!)

It is creepy weird though - and in some way, not surprising at all.

I loved Dr Z's post!

fairlane Mc Thusela! ha! When we talk about change, I think we should add that we've had enough of botox'd xanax'd arrogant first ladies to last us a lifetime.

dguzman you are sweet. and that is a very old photograph!

dr. mVm I would not go anywhere near those magic underpants.

dean wormer eeuh. If McCain were president, he'd get away with a Lewinskyite scandal because nobody would want to even go there. Which reminds me that yesterday I saw Vitter on CSpan and I could not pay attention to what he was saying. All I could think of was diapers. I wonder if his colleagues do the same in committee meetings?

sorghum I was a smooth operator, but I never made blender drinks. at least not during the era of that license.

franiam I guess it can be said that McCain "stays the course" even if he's teeing up on the wrong fairway.

Uh-oh. But, I can see past it if you can see past my recent mistake that could be called Hillary-do.

Only eighties hair pics can overcome such stigmae (I have no idea if that is actually a word,) unless these ladies release their eighties hairdo pic simultaneously. That would be bad.

Randal Graves said...

Sure, the hair might share some structural similarities, but you're far easier on the eyes than those two. Plus, you served booze, instead of drinking booze, like they did in order to numb the pain of sleeping with The Maverick®.

jess, despite your insinuations about McCain and the Savings & Loan Crisis, it's obvious McCain had inconsequential contact with Keating and, more interesting, the S&L Crisis gave the US a far stronger banking system.

Meanwhile, the S&L Crisis had its roots in the Carter administration. Government's usual misunderstanding of markets played a big role leading to the upheaval that brought about much needed changes.

But instead of allowing Savings Banks and Commercial Banks to buy Savings & Loans (the three are legally different), the government bungled everything by simply granting loan-making powers to S&Ls that proved fatal.

This government-created headache was a more serious threat to the US economy than the current problem of predatory borrowers grabbing easy money and mis-spending it.

Jess Wundrun said...

Jeez, bank maven, you're right. They shouldn't have gone picking on old McCain (the only republican of the five who were investigated -- see, bipartisan snarkery -- just because he tried to illegally influence the system.

"My insinuations." Thanks for giving me far greater influence than my little limited sphere. I didn't make up the scandal, you know.

you do NOT look like the Victor/Victoria of the stepford wife world

Oh, crap is right, but not because I think for one second that you'd let McCain get his dusty old paws on you.

Oh, crap because you've just posted a "before" picture of yourself. Before what, I don't know...

Wasn't there some discussion of posting old pix of ourselves during the Monday night Salon? Have you just segued into that?

My scanner shudders at the thought.

P.S. Way, way cuter than Cindy or Vicki. Hands down.

Oshkosh aye?

You don't seem like the McCain kind of lobbyist. At least you broke the story yourself.

Dr. Zaius said...

You look nothing like the two evil members of the unholy "Straight Talk" aliance, my dear. You have the delightful gaze of an angel, and the eyes of Vicki and Cindy are clearly channeling GOP Cthulhu. And anyway - McCain may call himself a Maverick, but you live in one! (Don't dream it, be it!)
